Some of you dear readers may not know this, but I’m a bit of an art geek. My degree is in Creative Arts and I owned an art gallery for several years. Why do I think you should care? Well, all it means is that I am a visual person and bad romance novel covers make my eyes hurt. And when a bad cover has your name on it it’s doubly traumatizing.
Which is why I am SO excited that the brilliant Ann Caine will be designing the cover for my upcoming Samhain Release, Sting of Desire. Sting is an erotic urban fantasy about a tarot card reader. This is probably the hottest book I’ve written, so if you like lots of bondage, sex clubs, whippings, orgies, tree sex, m/m and a variety of other creative sexual scenarios you might want to check this out. Oh, and my hero carries a striking resemblance to Han Solo. Just sayin’.
Meanwhile, check out some examples of Ann’s work! Oh, and one lucky commenter will win a copy of Sting when it’s released in August!
Lords of Chi’ by Ciar Cullun. I love this cover! Anne specializes in anime/manga which is very cool!

Here is The Scoll Theif by R.F. Long. Isn’t it gorgeous? So sensual, so yummy…

And here is Future Found by Mima!

I love the modern look and the cover promises lots of sensual romance to be found inside. Mmmm.
So there you have an example of some fabulous covers created by the talented artist Anne Caine. I can’t wait to see what she does for Sting of Desire!
Oh, and remember, one lucky commenter will receive a free copy of Sting!

by Crystal Jordan April 15th, 2009 at 2:19 pmYou have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for Sting to come out. I got to be one of the first to read it (I have a lucky gene lol) and I can tell you, its fantastic.
by R.G. Alexander April 15th, 2009 at 2:36 pmNow I’m heckling Feisty for the sequel, stay tuned. ;)
I cannot wait to see what Anne does for this cover
R.G. – You’re heckling Feisty for the sequel, what do you think I’m doing? Sitting here twiddling my thumbs. I want the next one too.
My gene is luckier than R.G.’s ’cause I get to read all the Smutketeers books subbed to Samhain before anyone – that includes hers. What a job!
Feisty – I’m dying to see your cover too! It’ll be great!
by Bethany April 15th, 2009 at 3:59 pmWow is all I have to say. I love the last cover the most. Count me in for the contest.

by Ayla April 16th, 2009 at 5:42 amSting of Desire sounds dark and edgy – I am sure will be an adverturous read :)!
Oh I can’t wait to see the cover for it – it is sure to be wicked awesome.
I am a design person myself and what I like about Ann’s work is that she does complex and variety so well. I hadn’t realized Scroll Theif was her cover art, the cover is what had me drawn to getting ebook of it.
by Pam S April 16th, 2009 at 10:17 amGreat covers, count me in! tWarner419@aol.com
by Teresa W. April 16th, 2009 at 10:27 amI’ve said it before, but I couldn’t believe it when I got the cover for The Scroll Thief. There were my characters, looking back out at me. The detail is incredible as well, especially on the left hand side where the scrollwork gradualy changes into flames – wonderful in a book about a country descending back into war. You probably can’t see if, but it’s wonderful! I couldn’t be happier
