1. I’d have to say Tanya Huff’s Blood series. Henry was cool and I loved Vicki.
2. From Dusk ‘Til Dawn. I like movies that twist like that. Plus it had so many quotable lines.
3. Their mesmeric power. Subtle is better. Although I admit the ability to pick up a small car and hit someone with it is tempting.
4. Dead vamp. They never quite feel right for me when there’s a ‘rational’ explanation.
5. Subtle. Vamps wouldn’t last long if humans knew about them. Hugely outnumbered and humans aren’t as limited as vampires.
6. I prefer fresh. I regard feeding as an orgasmic act for vampires because they taste not only the blood but the soul. Humans have richer souls than animals. Synthetic blood would be like C-rations. Edible and nutritious but not much fun to eat.
7. Very much a make your own way sort. I’ve always thought of vampires as solitary predators rather than a pack hunter.
8. By my standards a criminal is more interesting than a virgin. A virgin would likely be bland by my vampires’ lights.
9. I can think of two, but I’ll keep you guessing as to what they are.

by Madelynne Ellis October 10th, 2009 at 2:26 am1. I don’t really have a favorite vampire romance series since most of them aren’t strictly vampire but are full of other paranormal beings as the leads as well. Choosing a book, I’ll have to go with Patrice Michelle’s Scions: Resurrection.
2. Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
3. Their speed.
4. Different species vamp, but pretty much anything other than dead vamp. (Or should that be undead vamp?)
5. I like fangs that are more subtle and then elongate when it comes time to actually take blood.
6. Either fresh human blood or synthetic. I would feel too bad for the small animals.
7. It would depend on how the clan behaves.
8. This would depend on the willingness of the victims…er food sources. lol

2. Favorite vampire movie? Ooh, this one’s hard. Maybe Underworld.
3. What vampire power do you most wish you had? The power to seduce with my words.
4. Preference: Dead vamp, Virus vamp, Different species Vamp? Living vamp, something like Christine Feehan’s Carpathians.
5. Giant fangs, or subtle? (not that size matters…its how you use them, right?) Maybe somewhere in between, substantial but not bucktooth fangs. lol
6. Fresh human blood, or only tiny animals and synthetic blood? Definitely fresh human blood, but I could be persuaded to try synthetic.
7. Stick with the clan or head out on your own and try to live a normal life? Family first I say!

3 to move fast or heal fast would be cool
4 Different species Vamp, if i had to be one i wouldn’t want to have to die to get there:)

6 synthetic , with all the steps with science then i wouldn’t have to hurt anyone
7 head off on my own to try to be normal, i mean forever with the same people i’d go insane

2. Hard question — I adore the soundtrack to Queen of the Damned, and it’s sexy ‘feel’ but 30 day’s of night is kick ass! But the best of the best, for me, is Bram Stoker’s Dracula!
