Eden: The Smutketeers are thrilled to announce the addition of a fifth Smutketeer! Remember the 1979 film? The tagline was ‘Dueling, dashing heroes … from the bedroom to the battlefield!’ Our newest Smutketeer may not be dueling, but she is certainly dashing, and we’re pretty sure she’ll be much more memorable than that film…

Who is this mysterious, new Smutketeer? I’m sure you all have questions, and I’m going to ask ‘em! And since it’s the Smutketeers, you know we won’t hold back. So let’s fire away with both barrels on our newest Smutketeer, Eve Berlin!

Welcome, Eve! We’re so excited to have you join the Smutketeers (and yes, I do mean that in an entirely inappropriate way).

Eve: I’m glad to be here! I’ve admired you all from afar—okay, maybe from not so far—for a long time. I feel so close to you all already.

Eden: The feeling is mutual! So, tell us what you write, who you write for, and all that stuff.

Eve: I write contemporary BDSM erotic romance for Berkley Heat. It’s dirty, it’s romantic, and I hope readers will love my books. My debut novel, PLEASURE’S EDGE, will be out in October, and is available now through Amazon for pre-order. I’m so excited about this book!

Eden: Tell us about it! I’ve had a sneak peek and the hero is hot and hunky!

Eve: I think so, too… Alec Walker is one of those huge guys, built like a football player: tall, broad-shouldered, big muscles—my kinda guy. And he’s an experienced dominant, so he’s really my kinda guy! But he’s not one of those asshole dom’s—he’s a true gentleman. That combination will always make me swoon-the sort of man who can spank you until you cry, then take you in his arms and wipe your tears away.

I love my heroine, too. Dylan Ivory is an erotica author, so I suppose you could say there’s a lot of me in her. She’s also a little neurotic, a bit of a control freak (yes, that’s me, too…*sigh*).

Both of my characters are a little complicated, a little angsty, which is always fun to write. And I love writing about someone taking those first steps into the world of BDSM. It makes for some hot sex, but it also makes for complexity and intensity in the relationship.

Eden: Let’s talk more about the hot sex, please. :)

Eve: I had a feeling you were going to want to hear more about the sex! In this book, the power play dynamic is crucial to the sex, and there’s plenty of it! There’s something about an alpha male who can completely take over that can make a woman feel utterly feminine. Or maybe I just like the whole tie me up and spank me thing…*G*

Eve: You tease…Well, my next Berkley book is currently called DESIRE’S EDGE. It’s a follow-up to PLEASURE’S EDGE. The hero, Dante, is Alec’s best friend, another dominant, and this is his story. More hot sex, more alpha male, more spanking and a few other things.

Eden: I love the ‘other things’!

Eve: Again, probably not news to your readers.

Eden: You’re a little sassy, you know that?

Eve: I get it from you.

Eden: Yeah, and I have to share my boyfriend with you, too.

Eve: He doesn’t seem to mind.

Eden: True. So, back to this twin thing…which one of us is the evil twin?

Eve: That would be you. The stuff you write is far dirtier than what I write.

Eden: Hah!

Eve: I see you’re not arguing the point.

Eden: Um…no, I guess not. Although it’s not ‘far’ dirtier. Maybe just a bit.

Eve: Do you think we’ve teased everyone enough yet?

Eden: I love a good tease.

Eve: Well, so do I…but sometimes it’s good to get to the point. Hence our mutual love for that Turbo massager you’re always going on about. Maybe it’s time to let everyone know who I am…

Eden: You mean that you’re my twin?

Eve: Well, more that I’m actually you. Or you’re schizophrenic, we’re not quite sure yet.
