Every so often I hear an erotic romance writer sigh and say, “I can’t stand the thought of writing another sex scene. And I have no idea why or where it comes from. Everyone who meets me and finds out I’m a writer immediately assumes I write children’s books. Um, not ‘quite’. I think I was born with a dirty mind and that’s okay. Not many people get paid to make stuff up, especially really kinky stuff.
Crystal Jordan recently pointed out to me that all the men in my Simply series are either gay or bisexual. (I’m sure there are a couple of straight guys somewhere? LOL) I put that down to English public schools. (btw, public schools in England are actually private and fee-paying.) Did you know that the term ‘fag’ comes from the English public school tradition of a younger boy ‘fagging’ for an older boy? It meant he acted as a servant for him and that might have included sexual favors, so no wonder everyone in my books has a sexual kink.
I was trying to think of a good excerpt for you, because, you might not know this, but I also write for Brava (steamy historical) and Signet Eclipse (steamy paranormal historical) and those are two of the three books I have coming out between now and February. Lords of Passion, which is out right now, and also features Virginia Henley and Maggie Robinson and Blood of the Rose which comes out on February 1st.

OMG I just posted about my fav xmas movie on my FB status! Hilarious! Mine is White Christmas! My grandma and I used to watch it together when I was growing up! She has since passed (about 7 years ago). Now that my daughter is 8 (and able to sit still for more than 10 minutes during a movie) I’m excited to carry on the tradition. We are lucky enough to have a great theater in town and they are doing White Christmas tonight! While we have tickets, sadly my daughter is sick with a cold and we can’t go. :( That’s my pick! Not sure what I like best about it though, the singing, the spirit, the era…it’s just a perfect combo!
