Eden/Eve: Oh, yes! Grab your fans, our dear Smutkedettes, and get ready to meet Randi Alexander’s smokin’ hot hero from her newest release, HER COWBOY STUD! If you like a kinky cowboy, you’re going to love him! Randi is interviewing Trace for us today-I think we’re in for one wild ride…
Q: Welcome, Trace! Will you tell our readers a little bit about yourself?
Trace: Thanks for havin’ me here today, ma’am. As you can probably tell, I’m a cowboy. Born and raised on my family’s stud horse farm outside of Houston, Texas. Now, though…I’m the last living McGonagall. I’m single, but keepin’ a lookout for the right woman. I stay plenty busy with the ranch.
Q: All the single women must be glad to hear you’re in the market for a wife, but don’t get your hopes up, ladies! Trace, is it okay if we get even more personal here? How would you describe your personality?
Trace: Well, I’m hard working. I don’t expect my ranch hands to do anything I wouldn’t do. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a skeptic. I don’t take things at face value, and I need people to prove themselves to me before I’ll trust them.
Q: I can understand why that would be necessary, especially in your line of work. What’s one thing about you that would surprise us?
Trace: I like to be in control. In every aspect of my life.
Q: In the bedroom, too? Are you a Dom?
Trace: Yes, ma’am, I sure am. I hope that doesn’t shock you.
Q: Actually, that doesn’t surprise me one bit. But let’s get back to your ‘outdoor’ activites. Would you share with us an ordinary day for you?
Trace: My days are spent working with the horses. Everything from mucking out stalls to breeding thoroughbreds. I have wranglers on staff to train the horses before I sell them and I schedule them. The ranch has acres of grain and hay to harvest and put up. Mostly, I delegate chores and pick up any work that needs doing. And there’s a lot of that. Evenings I spend promotin’ the business and arranging sales. This is seven days a week, for the most part.
Q: You lead a busy life. So, what happened the day you met Macy Veralta?
Trace: She stole my heart, but I damn near screwed it up.
Q: Really? That sounds like a good story. Start from the beginning.
Trace: Macy drove onto the ranch in her little rental car, ready to pick up the inheritance my uncle left her. She wore these spiky heeled sandals and cropped pants that showed off her fine curves. And the sexiest halter top I’d ever seen hugging her perfect…uh, sorry. She was the whole package. Her shoulder length blonde hair and those eyes the color of Texas bluebells. I damn near fell for her right there. I stood gapin’ at her. Then she broke the spell by tripping over her own heels.
Q: Poor girl! She must have been mortified. What was your first impression of Macy?
Trace: City girl. Just passin’ through. Kind of…well…ditzy. Did a lot of starin’ and looked a little lost.
Q: Interesting. In all honesty, Trace, I’d probably find myself staring at you, too.
Trace: Thank you, ma’am. And if I wasn’t already taken…
Q: Oh, now I’m blushing. What was Macy’s first impression of you?
Trace: I’m afraid I didn’t make a very good impression. I have a bad habit of hidin’ my emotions behind a rough exterior. I was a little tough on her for showing up three months late and refusing to tell me what she’d done to get my uncle to remember her in his will.
Q: Tense moments, I bet. What happened that changed your mind about her, and hers about you?
Trace: When we got the whole inheritance mess sorted out, we spent some time together. Got to know one another a bit, and as it turns out, we were both lookin’ forward to meeting each other for months. When I led her into the barn, when I touched her…damn…that was all it took. I needed to be her Dom, and she showed me what her submission would be like. I was hooked.
Q: Did everything go smoothly after that?
Trace: Ha. Not even close. I assumed she was there for the money, and made a big mistake. Macy’s temper took hold of her. She accused me of trying to seduce her to get her inheritance for myself, which got me so damn angry, I could have spit tacks. We had an epic dust up, and she walked out. I came to my senses in time to fix it, but it was a close one.
Q: So then it was happily-ever-after?
Trace: I wish I could say yes, ma’am, but the trail we were on headed up so many rocky inclines, I think we logged a year’s worth of miscommunication in one day.
Q: But the story ends well?
Trace: It sure does, and lookin’ back, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Q: Thanks for being with us today, Trace, and we all hope you and Macy have lots of happy days and wicked nights on that stud farm!
Readers – if you have a question for Trace, please post a comment, and we’ll be sure to have him answer you! Every comment will be entered for a chance to win an e-book copy of Randi’s first book, Chase and Seduction.

Trace McGonagall’s quiet life on his Houston stud ranch is shaken up when gorgeous Macy Veralta arrives to claim an inheritance left to her in his uncle’s will. Trace sees her as just another gold digger, but he also can’t resist her curvy body. When she hints at being the perfect submissive to his Dom, he has to have her.
Macy wouldn’t have been three months late to claim her inheritance if she’d known Trace was sin in jeans. The cowboy’s dominant bearing and the smoldering glint in his eyes send shivers to her toes and stirs images of being bound in his bed and disciplined at his hand. But could Trace’s perfect seduction be part of his plan to reclaim her inheritance?
EXCERPT: Over 18 only please.
Macy looked at the horse’s regal head and soft brown eyes. “Can I touch him?”
“You sure can.” Trace winked. “Put your hand on top of the gate.”
She set her hand carefully on the wood railing. The horse came over and sniffed her. “So, why the confusing name?”
Trace breathed deeply, but on the exhale, chuckled a couple more times. “He was a rodeo bronc. Started out with some odd French name, but when he’d come out of the gate, he’d spin more than buck. So he got the nickname. And it stuck.” He ran his big hand down the horse’s nose. “Huh, old guy?”
Not sure if she dare pet the horse yet, Macy asked, “He’s old?”
“He’s gettin’ up there. But he’s still a damn good stud. Nearly every one of his foals is high-caliber buckin’ stock. The mares like him, too.” He stepped behind her, took her hand from the gate, and lifted it to the horse’s nose. “He’s gentle and slow.”
He wasn’t talking about the horse any longer. His drawl stirred hot desire down low in her core, imagining him taking his time with her, pleasing her with patient licks and decadent touches. Her skin tingled where his palm pressed against her hand, guiding her fingers over The horse’s soft nose. When the horse turned, he eased her hand across the side of his neck.
Trace stood close, not touching anywhere but her hand. She wanted more. A wave of awareness rushed down her spine. Chills wiggled through her body. As the sun slid below the horizon, the barn darkened around them. Crickets chirruped, welcoming the coming evening.
Trace put his other hand on the gate, corralling Macy with his arms and chest. His hip bumped her backside then pressed closer. His scent seemed different now, more musky, with a little bit of horse tossed in. She inhaled deeply, trying to draw him closer by sheer will.
“He likes a little foreplay, too,” Trace continued, his voice dropping low and seductive.
A tiny sound escaped her lips. This man was irresistible, and she had no desire to resist. “How?” she asked, the question not quite relevant. One by one, her brain cells began snapping off, preparing for the sensual bliss of what was coming next. “What kind of foreplay?”
“Mmm.” Trace took her hand back from petting the horse and ran his palm up her arm. He did the same on the other side. “Touchin’.” His calloused fingers traced her bare shoulders, along the strap of the halter top. “Your skin is so soft.”
Every nerve ending jumped and jittered at his touch. She closed her eyes, fully experiencing the contact. Her core hummed with desire and her nipples pebbled with need.
His palms spread across her bare upper back then down her sides. “You’re so small.” His hands wrapped around her waist, nearly spanning it. “You smell so good…” He pressed his face against her hair and took a deep breath. “Flowers.”
She wished she could tell him the name of her perfume, wished she could say anything. Her thoughts flowed muzzy and thick, like honey. Inside, her muscles heated and her bones melted.
When she leaned back slightly, she found him there behind her, his hard chest touching her back.
His hands spread to cover her stomach, warming her through her shirt. She prayed, willed his hands to slide upward, to cup her breasts. Her tight nipples tingled with invitation as her head whirled in anticipation.
He gently turned her to face him, his hands on her shoulders.
The spin disoriented her and she clutched his arms to steady herself. Forcing her lids open, she saw his eyes, dark and dilated, shining with desire. His face so intense, it rattled a spasm through her, centering its heat in her pussy, convulsing her deep inside, sending moisture streaming from between her lips onto her panties. “Kiss me, Trace.”

I just read Cowboy Stud this weekend and loved it. I wish I would have meet Uncle Silas before Macy did! lol It was a fun, romantic and sexy. I will be checking out Randi’s next book as I read the introduction to it in the Stud book and it sounds just as wild and wicked as this book was.

by Randi Alexander April 3rd, 2012 at 8:05 amWhen I saw the cover for Chase and Seduction, I was confused about the Cowboy Kink because it doesn’t seem to fit. I visited Randi’s site and read up about it. Both books sound great and who doesn’t like hot cowboys (or hot country singers)?
by Anne April 3rd, 2012 at 10:51 amHi Anne, yes, the cover is more ‘country rock’ than ‘cowboy.’ But Chase is definitely a cowboy. Raised on a ranch, he worked with his father at a Kentucky stable. When he became famous (and rich) he bought a ranch in Texas, right on the Gulf of Mexico. Hmmm, maybe Chase needs to have an interview by the Smutketeers, too!
