~Favorite Holiday Tradition: In my family we always opened up all the gifts on Christmas Eve. I always loved it because I got all my stuff earlier than most of my friends. I’m pretty sure my mom did it so I wouldn’t wake her up at the crack of dawn Christmas Day. lol

~Favorite holiday tradition: driving around a finding the Griswald Christmas house. Yes, you can find Clark’s house in your town. Really? Do you need all the yard art and please, please pick a theme. Secular or Christian/Jewish. (I used to live in Dallas and trust me, I have seen the Menorah next to Santa)
~Favorite holiday movie: Miracle on 34th Street. What’s better than Maureen O’Hara and Natalie Wood? Second place: Christmas Vacation.
My reviewer site is named for my favorite publisher, Harlequin. I devour their books with such voracity that I’ve been called a Harlie Whore by some people. ~Favorite Holiday movie: I adore holiday movies… I think my favorites include White Christmas with Bing Crosby, Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck and Miracle on 34th Street with Maureen O’Hara.
~Favorite Holiday tradition: My family always opened Christmas gifts on Christmas Eve! It rocked <g> We would then sleep in as late as we wanted and go through our stockings on Christmas morning. I’m not sure why my parents did that… I kinda think it was because they liked to sleep in too and we never truly believed in Santa so what was the point of getting up too early on Christmas morning? lol
I’m a mildly obsessed reader and book collector. I love to read romance, PNR, UF and science fiction. I’m into pin up and rockabilly. I blog and review books and vlog about them too on my site.
I NEED to know when new books come out and have worked very hard to create a new fiction release database to view fiction titles by DATE! http://thebooktart.com/new-fiction-release/ A wish list function is coming soon and the ability to manually add indie books or books the database has missed.

~Favorite Holiday Traditions: My favorite thing about the holidays is the visiting family and friends you might not always see during the year. This year the hubs and I have traveled to Australia and New Zealand to visit with his family but usually when we are home we have our own special holiday, we love to see everyone we can and sometimes it’s hard during the holidays, so my niece and I made up our own holiday between holidays to help with this little problem. We made up a holiday that floats between Thanksgiving and Christmas called Merry Thanksmas. We all get together and have a huge feast and do a white elephant gift exchange, it’s a perfect event. I hope what ever your plans for the holidays are this year that they are safe and full of love. – xoxoxo Dawn

A Little Bit Tart, A Little Bit Sweet is a blog with guest posts from authors and readers, reviews, and general interest pieces.
~Favorite Holiday Food or Drink: I have to answer both. Food? Cliche, it seems, but Christmas cookies. My mom was not a baker, and family wasn’t that into sweets – or at least not making/buying them (I know, they’re so broken) – so I only ever got them around the holidays, mooching them from friends. I shared other food – but it’s not the same. Also, who wouldn’t feel sorry for a poor little girl with no Christmas cookies?! I’m still recovering from that trauma.
Drink? … It’s a bit festive yet not… Disaronno with cranberry, ginger ale, a lot of fresh lime juice, and garnished with a wedge of limes, and some frozen cranberries tossed in. I think it’s good year round, but the frozen cranberries make it special.
~Favorite Gift on my holiday wish list: A real job, and no more tragedies in 2013. … With a side of world peace and winning a mega lottery. ;) I figure go big or go home. And since it’s obviously – and sadly – not going to happen, might as well ask for the moon while I’m at it! So oh yes – the moon.

We opened up our gifts on Christmas Eve for years my Mom took us to Midnight mass while Dad didn’t go so when we got home Santa had been there. Now I’m so busy at work (UPS) I do Christmas with my parents after the New Year so we can enjoy the time together

Family and friends would come to watch Santa give me my presents, it was great. Then one year I thought Santa looked very familiar…The next year was the first year we didn’t have family and friends show up, and then Santa didn’t show up!! I had to go to bed!? Without Santa giving me my presents?! It was horrible!

One favorite site that I enjoyed is there is a small lake as you come into the area, and they would put a tree on a floater with lights on it. Beautiful reflection on the water.
